Bass & Coloratura Soprano on board. We're delighted to welcome soprano Zerrin Karsli and bass-bariton Neil Balfour to join soprano Charlotte Coggin in our March event, Cruel Britannia. Performances are 29th/30th March in and around central Hull.

We began our mission with a free 15-minute production of Christmas Meeting in December 2017, which took new opera to three locations in the city - the Thornton Estate, Brain Jar and Trinity Methodist Church on Newland Avenue. Our aims were taken up by the BBC who...

Hull Urban Opera Collective is a group of Hull-based artists who are passionate about opera. We believe that Hull deserves its own unique opera scene which reflects the city’s pragmatism, playfulness and sardonic sense of humour.
